Saving Services to Your Price Book

Your price book is your library of reusable services — each with a name, description, and price. Instead of building it out separately, you can now add a service to a job and save it to your price book at the same time. The next time you need that service, it’s just a tap away.

Saving a New Service While Adding It to a Job

Step 1: Add a Service to the Job

  1. Open the job you’re working on.
  2. In the Services section, tap Add service.
  3. Start typing the name of the service in the search box.

If the service already exists in your price book, it appears in the list — just select it and the name, description, and price fill in automatically. (Services pulled from the price book are already saved, so there’s nothing more to do.)

Step 2: Enter the Service Details

If it’s a brand-new service that isn’t in your price book yet:

  1. Type the service name.
  2. Add an optional description.
  3. Enter the price.

Step 3: Turn On “Save to Price Book”

  1. Switch on Save to price book.
  2. Choose a category so the service is easy to find later. The job’s specialty is selected for you, but you can change it.
  3. Tap Save.

The service is added to the current job and saved to your price book, ready to reuse on any future job.

Tip: The “Save to price book” option is only available for new services. If you selected an existing service from the search results, it’s already in your price book, so the option stays hidden.


Reusing a Saved Service

The next time you add a service to a job, start typing its name in the search box. Saved services show up in the results — select one and all of its details fill in automatically.


Frequently Asked Questions

Does saving to the price book change the current job? No. Saving to the price book stores a reusable copy of the service. The line item on your current job stays exactly as you entered it, and editing the job item later won’t change the saved price-book entry.

Can I edit a service after saving it to the price book? Yes. Manage your saved services from the price book at any time. Updating a price-book entry won’t retroactively change services already added to past jobs.

Why can’t I see the “Save to price book” switch? The switch only appears for new services that have a name and weren’t selected from existing price-book results. If you picked a service from the search list, it’s already saved.
